Animals in Open Class - MUST be registered by August 15th.
Entry Fees:
1. $5.00 per head, per class.
2. Stall fee is $5.00 per stall.
Entries Accepted:
1. Entries will be accepted until 6:00 pm on Wednesday of fair week.
2. Entries for Open Class Cattle classes can also be made in the fair office.
3. All cattle must be in place by 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday of fair week. All fees need to be paid by 6:00 pm on Wednesday of fair week.
Release of Cattle exhibits:
1. Cattle exhibits will be released when the 4-H exhibits are released on Sunday of fair week. Time will be announced and posted in beef barn if applicable.
Specific Rules:
1. Exhibitor is responsible for providing their own feed and containers for feed and water.
2. Stalls will be cleaned by the exhibitor and done by 8:00 a.m. daily.
3. Bedding for stalls is provided by the Sherman County Fair Board.
4. No more than two premiums will be paid to any one exhibitor per class.
5. Premium pay out times and days will be announced during fair week.
6. Cattle shown in group classes must have been shown in an earlier individual class.
7. All cattle will be tied with a halter and neck chain.
8. All bulls must have a nose-ring lead when outside the stall area.
9. Heifers over one year must be Brucellosis vaccinated.
10. A stall use fee of $5.00 per stall is required and is non-refundable on all open class cattle.
11. Stalls must be cleaned after exhibit is removed on Sunday and signed off by the barn Superintendent. If stalls are left unclean, all premiums will be forfeited.
ALL BREEDS COMPETING: IF THERE ARE MORE THAN FIVE ENTRIES OF ANY ONE BREED, A SEPARATE LOT WILL BE MADE FOR THAT BREED.
