Animals in Open Class - MUST be registered by August 10th.
SWINE - DIVISION D
Entry Fees:
1. $4.00 per head, per class
2. Stall fee is $5.00 per stall
Entries Accepted:
1. Online Entries will be accepted until 5:00 pm on Tuesday of fair week. Entries in the Fair Office will be accepted from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm on Wednesday of fair week.
2. Entries for Open Class Swine can also be made in the fair office.
3. All swine must be in place and fees paid by 6:00 pm on Wednesday of fair week.
Release of Swine exhibits:
1. Swine exhibits will be released when the 4-H exhibits are released on Sunday of fair week. Time will be announced and posted if applicable.
Specific Rules:
1. Exhibitor is responsible for providing their own feed and containers for feed and water.
2. Stalls will be cleaned by the exhibitor and done by 8:00 a.m. daily
3. Bedding for stalls is provided by the Sherman County Fair Board.
4. No more than two premiums will be paid by any one exhibitor per class.
5. Premium pay out times and days will be announced during fair week.
6. Animals shown in group classes must have been shown in an earlier individual breeding class.
7. Age of swine will be computed from March 1 of current year.
8. All animals will be groomed for exhibit/show
9. A stall use fee of $5.00 per head is required and is non-refundable on all open class swine. Stalls must be cleaned after exhibit is removed on Sunday and signed off by the barn superintendent. If stalls are left unclean, all premiums will be forfeited back to the fair.
ALL BREEDS COMPETING: IF THERE ARE MORE THAN FIVE ENTRIES OF ANY ONE BREED. A SEPARATE LOT WILL BE MADE FOR THAT BREED.
